How many hours a week do you wanna work?
You can pick a fixed schedule of 4-5 days or go for a flexible one where you just share your availability every Sunday, that way, we can plan around your schedule and preferences.

As a warehouse worker at Picnic, you collect groceries for our customers. During your shift, you work at your own station in the warehouse, where products automatically find their way to you. You pack different items, from coffee beans to bottles of water. Sometimes you also handle chilled products like milk, which means you'll occasionally work in the chilled area (2-4°C).
During these shifts, you'll wear a warm sweater or jacket provided by Picnic.

How much do I earn as a Warehouse Worker at Picnic and how does the weekly payment work?
As a warehouse Worker at Picnic, you earn €15.65 per hour, including holiday pay, regardless of your age. You also receive travel allowance (for distances of 10-40 km per one-way trip) and free meals during your shift.
Picnic warehouse workers get paid every week. If you prefer, you can also choose to be paid every four weeks. This way, you always know where you stand and have money in your account on time.

What does a shift in the warehouse look like?
As a warehouse worker at Picnic, you prepare groceries for hundreds of customers. You work at your own station, where all products automatically find their way to you. A screen shows exactly which products you need to pick, such as coffee beans or bottles of water. You pick the product and place it in the right crate for the customer.
Chilled (2-4°C): refrigerated products like milk or yogurt
After that, you make sure the crates are ready for delivery. During your shift, we provide a free warm lunch or dinner.
On your break, there's also time to relax or challenge your colleagues to a game of pool or table tennis!
How flexible are the working hours at Picnic, and which days can I work?
Working hours as a warehouse worker at Picnic are flexible.
You can choose between a flex schedule or a fixed schedule:
We try our best to accommodate your preferences when planning the schedule.
You work 4 to 5 fixed shifts per week, including one day on the weekend. These shifts are always during the same time of day.
- Our warehouse is open7 days a week.
- You're available at least 16 hours per week , of which at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
- You can work parttime or fulltime in 8hour shifts.
This keeps your work flexible and helps us clearly see when you are available.
Do I need experience to work at Picnic?
No experience is needed to work as a Warehouse Worker at Picnic. When you start, we provide you with extensive training so you are ready. This vacancy is perfect if you like to get things done and enjoy working in an energetic team.
As a warehouse worker at Picnic, we expect the following from you:
- You are proactive and full of energy.
- You enjoy physical work and don't mind occasionally working in the chilled area (2-4°C).
- You are available for a minimum of 16hours to a maximum of 40 per week, part-time or full-time.
- You can work on one fixed day during the weekend .
- You speak and understand basic Dutch or English.
Additionally, we require that you have one of the following:
- An EU nationality and a valid Dutch Citizen Service Number (BSN); or
- A non-EU nationality with a valid work permit and a Dutch BSN.
Do I get a travel allowance at Picnic?
As a warehouse worker at Picnic, you receive a travel allowance if you live more than 10 kilometers from the warehouse. We reimburse €0.21 per kilometer for a maximum of 80 kilometers per day (round trip).
- You live 9 km from the warehouse → no reimbursement
- You live 20 km from the warehouse → full reimbursement
- You live 50 km from the warehouse → reimbursement up to a maximum of 40 km per one-way trip (80 km round trip)
