Shopfitter

You will work at the Capacity Center Piping – Prefabrications department located in Sliedrecht. This team is focused on craftsmanship, safety, and quality in the construction of high-end piping systems for the maritime industry.

For the Capacity Center Piping – Prefabrications department in Sliedrecht, we are looking for a experienced and independent shopfitter. You will fabricate and assemble piping systems and components. No shift work involved. Experience with ship piping, isometric drawings, and TIG/MIG tack welding is required.

As a shopfitter, you are responsible for the independent fabrication and assembly of piping systems. You work from isometric drawings, tack-weld pipe sections (TIG/MIG), and perform intermediate and final measurements. You keep your workspace clean and follow all applicable safety and environmental regulations.

Tasks include:

• Fabricating pipe sections, brackets, and components

• Assembling pipework, appendages, and piping systems

• Grinding, cleaning, and degreasing weld seams

• Tack welding (TIG/MIG) according to specifications

• Performing measurement checks, punching, and pressure testing

• Identifying material deviations and reporting to supervisor

• Maintaining tools and equipment and keeping the workspace clean

Wij vragen

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a pipefitter in ship piping

• 100% able to work independently

• Able to read isometric drawings

• Valid VCA certificate (or willing to obtain one)

• Proficient in English

• Proficiency in Dutch is a strong advantage
