An exciting opportunity is available as an Air Freight Forwarder to join a well-established organisation in the logistics sector. Based in Schiphol-Rijk, this role focuses on managing air freight operations from start to finish.

Description

• Coordinate and monitor end-to-end airfreight shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
• Handle documentation and customs clearance processes for international shipments.
• Communicate effectively with clients, airlines, and overseas agents.
• Optimise freight costs and negotiate rates with service providers.
• Track shipment progress and address any issues that arise during transit.
• Maintain accurate records and update systems with shipment details.
• Prepare operational reports and provide updates to stakeholders as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Assist with ocean freight shipments when necessary.

Profile

• Ability to complete an Air Freight background check - VGB (Certificate of No Objection).

  8+ years resident in the EU.

• Proven experience with airfreight operations and logistics procedures.
• Proficiency in English or Dutch.
• Familiarity with customs regulations and documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant logistics software and tools.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Job Offer

• Direct company contract
• Salary of max. €3.300 euros per month based on experience
• 20 holidays per year
• Travel allowance of 0,23 euros per km
• Holiday allowance 8% of the yearly salary
• Pension scheme 50% paid by the employer
