Uncover hidden stories at Museum Batavialand
Member of the Supervisory Board
Museum Batavialand seeks Supervisory Board member with museum - depot - collection profile
Museum Batavialand in Lelystad tells the story of the Netherlands and water, from prehistory to the reclamation of Flevoland. We are the national museum for ship archaeology and manage the National Ship Archaeological Depot, the Provincial Archaeological Depot Flevoland and the museum depot with the heritage collections of the province.
Museum Batavialand employs 35 employees and 150 volunteers. The organization consists of the departments Knowledge & Collection, Public & Presentation, Marketing & Communication and Operations. The management team is formed by the managing director and the department heads.
We are currently at the beginning of a radical and inspiring renewal of our museum. In this we are working closely with the three governments investing in the renewal: Province of Flevoland, the State and Municipality of Lelystad. This development brings change and opportunities, and requires strengthening our organization.
