Software Test Engineer

Your role

In the role of Software Test Engineer, you will create clear and accurate test plans together with the product owner and domain experts. Where necessary, you ensure that requirements are tightened. You ensure that the plans are executed and continuously improved and try to automate as much as possible. You use scripts and automated test tools to test the software at all levels throughout the stack. You oversee the entire testing process and create overviews of the test status of the software product.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will enjoy being a 'squeaky-clean' to ensure that all software tests are captured and executed in the simplest of formulations. By keeping tests simple and tight, you motivate fellow developers to make the software designs simple, robust and elegant. You are able to explain this importance well and convey it convincingly. In your team, you help improve and automate quality sprint-to-sprint. Furthermore, you have extensive knowledge of agile methodologies and know how to apply them flawlessly.

Your background

This is nothing new for you:

A completed college and/or university education in the field of Technical Computer Science or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Software Test Engineer, preferably in SAFe, Agile or DevOps environment.

Testing tools and testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress and Cucumber.

Various methodologies, such as CAT, TMAP, ISTQB.

Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

Knowledge of working methodologies including DevOps, Agile/Scrum and/or Kanban.

Dutch and English.

This is nice:

Affinity with Python & Shell scripting.

Affinity with C++, C# or JAVA.

Affinity with Jira, Confluence, GIT and/or QT.
