As a Test Automation Engineer at Polteq, you are more than a tester. You are a consultant, sparring partner and subject matter expert all in one. You work on projects for a variety of clients and are given the confidence to apply your expertise in a way that suits you and the client. You are never alone: you are part of a close community of experienced testers and quality advisors who seek each other out, challenge and support each other.

What will you do?

You work on software that matters. As a Test Automation Engineer at Polteq, you will join organizations where quality is not an afterthought, but a prerequisite. This can be at a government agency, a digital agency or a commercial player; Polteq is active in all sectors and it is precisely this variety that makes your work challenging and instructive.

You will be deployed to clients on a project basis and given the confidence to really leverage your expertise. You will design, build and maintain automated test solutions and ensure that test automation is well embedded within (CI/CD) processes. You look beyond technology: you think proactively, identify bottlenecks and advise customers on a sustainable approach to quality and test automation.

As a consultant you will be challenged to take responsibility. Clients like to see you show initiative, think along with them about test architectures, frameworks and tooling, and communicate your knowledge convincingly. At the same time, Polteq gives you the space to explore new technologies, such as AI, and to translate them into practical, valuable solutions.

Within Polteq you will work in a flat organization with short lines of communication. You are part of an ambitious, sociable and friendly team of colleagues who seek out and help each other. What do you bring?

You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar test automation role

You have experience programming in Java, C# and/or TypeScript

You have worked with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright and/or Robot Framework

You enjoy thinking about test architecture, frameworks and the smart deployment of tooling

You have an HBO working and thinking level and preferably have a TMap or ISTQB certification

You communicate professionally in Dutch, both orally and in writing

You have a car or motorcycle license and enjoy visiting different customers on the floor

What do you get from us?
