Kiwa CMT is seeking a Structures Technician to join their team in Derby. This site-based role involves inspection, sampling, and testing of construction materials and structures, including barriers, reinforced concrete, and anchor points, ensuring safety and compliance.

Overview:

• Conduct in situ diamond drilling for concrete and bituminous cores, as well as sampling and testing of reinforced concrete structures
• Inspect and test barriers, handrails at sports stadia, and perform load/pull-off testing of bolts and anchor points
• Maintain competency and authorisation for a range of test procedures, ensuring work is carried out to high-quality standards and in compliance with documented processes
• Ensure all test equipment is calibrated, functioning correctly, and subject to regular checks, reporting any defects as needed
• Use and maintain equipment and company vehicles responsibly
• Accurately record test results, QC data, and other required information following current procedures
• Maintain good site working practice at all times

Responsabilities:

• Hold a Full UK valid driving licence, as you will be using company vehicles to travel to and from sites
• Holds a CSCS card
• Able to learn with on-the-job training
• Experience in a similar or cross over role
• Technical background preferable
• Demonstrate an interest in the outdoor field of work
• Possess a good level of practical and IT skills
• Communicate effectively and work well both independently and as part of a team
• Be adaptable and eager to learn with on-the-job training
• Willing to work away from home for short periods (Occasional overnight and possible weekend work applies to this role)

Qualifications:

• £25,389 - £31,187 per annum
• Generous Annual Leave - Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service
• 38.75 hours per week - Monday to Friday, predominantly site based role
