Business Developer

Would you like to support public sector organizations such as municipalities, water authorities and large executive bodies in improving their information management with smart knowledge management software, training and consultancy? Do you have strong commercial skills and an interest in architecture and knowledge management challenges? Then we are looking for you!

In the morning, you call a contact person at a municipality to discuss the proposal process for an architecture consultancy project. After that, you work together with a consultant on a proposal for a knowledge management environment (wiki) for a new client. In the afternoon, you present our software solution at a public sector organization, and at the end of the day you call a few prospects who have shown interest in our training programs. In this way, you directly contribute to better-informed decision-making and collaboration within government.

Things you like

• Actively approach new clients and build long-term relationships

• Identify opportunities in the market and turn them into concrete deals

• Convince municipalities and other public sector organizations of our solutions

• Collaborate with consultants and advisors to translate client needs into results

• Work in a small team where expertise and results come first

Things you can/have

• At least 3 years of experience in B2B sales (preferably in IT, information management or consultancy)

• Affinity with architecture and information-related topics

• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written

• Commercial drive and perseverance

The following will be a plus

• A network within the public sector and/or IT sector

• Experience with complex sales processes (tenders/procurements)

• Knowledge of architecture standards, information models and knowledge management solutions
