Together with your fellow Production Manager, you will lead the Hydraulics, Construction, Turning, Electrical, and Sensor Construction teams (a total of 23 FTEs), divided across mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines (WTB & Elektro). You are a crucial link between people, processes, and technology-and you work closely with the Planning Department and the Operations Manager.

A glimpse into your working day

After the morning meeting, your colleagues enthusiastically get to work. Today, a large project for a new customer from Singapore is on the schedule. During your inspection round, you notice that some necessary drawings are still missing. You immediately contact the work preparation department, who quickly deliver them, and thanks to your overview and cooperation, production can continue without delay. That's where you make the difference.

Where will you be working?

We are , an innovative family business based in Heerenveen, the Netherlands, that designs, builds and supplies CPT equipment for onshore, offshore and nearshore soil investigation. Our customers are spread all over the world. We are continuously working on innovations in the field of CPT equipment. The equipment, instruments, software, etc. are completely developed and made in-house. Our company consists of about 70 employees and the company culture is characterized by: pride in your work, respect for each other, working together and continuing to learn and adapt. We are growing in various areas. We don't do crazy things, but we are far from standing still. Not in our products, but not in our operations either.

About your position

In your role as Production Manager:

• You will manage approximately 12 colleagues in various technical disciplines;
• You will ensure that quality, safety, and planning are in order every day;
• You will coordinate production planning with the Planning Department;
• You will identify bottlenecks and, where necessary, consult with the Process Engineer for process improvements;
• You will hold meetings with employees and guide them in their development;
• You will keep track of administrative matters, such as leave, production overviews, and hours;
• You will ensure that departmental goals are achieved within the set time, scope, and budget.

What do we require from you?

We are looking for a Production Manager who combines technical insight with leadership and a sense of responsibility. You have:

• MBO level 4 education, supplemented with courses or HBO working and thinking level;
• At least 4 years of technical work experience, managerial experience is an advantage;
• Experience with production processes, quality, and safety;
• Strong communication skills;
• You are results-oriented, decisive, and constantly looking for improvement.

Together, you will ensure optimal coordination between design, planning, and execution, so that our high-quality products are delivered on time and with the right quality.
