We are looking for an independent and experienced Shopfitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling pipe sections and brackets, with a strong focus on quality and precision. You will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the success of our production processes.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently fabricate pipe sections and brackets
• Assemble pipe sections, fittings, and other necessary components
• Prepare, clean, and degrease weld seams (cutting, grinding)
• Tack-weld pipe sections (TIG and MIG) according to guidelines
• Transport materials to and from the workspace
• Report completed pipe sections and components according to guidelines
• Identify and report deviations in pipe materials, components, and drawings to the supervisor
• Perform maintenance on tools and machines, ensuring a clean and safe workspace
• Report machine and tool malfunctions to the supervisor
• Conduct intermediate and final inspections for dimensional accuracy
• Test (punching and pressure testing) piping systems

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the correct dimensions and quality of fabricated and assembled pipe sections
• Perform intermediate and final quality inspections
• Efficiently fabricate and assemble pipe sections and piping systems
• Ensure pipe sections remain properly sealed
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Properly operate machinery and tools
• Maintain and service machines and tools
• Approve products for welding and/or foreman review
• Maintain quality standards for pipe materials and components

Authorities:

• Report quality deviations to the supervisor
• Address colleagues and visitors on improper safety, health, and environmental practices
• Propose improvements, both requested and unsolicited
• Approve fabricated and assembled pipe sections for welding and/or foreman review

Wij vragen

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pipefitter in ship pipelines
• Ability to work 100% independently
• Proficiency in reading isometric sketches and technical drawings
• Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Proficiency in English
