    Job Description: Sales Engineer BeNeLux

    Objective:

    As a Sales Engineer BeNeLux, you will work in a team and, after an internal training period, be responsible for the further development of our markets, mainly within the process industry.

    Position in the Organization:

    The Sales Engineer BeNeLux is part of the sales and calculation team and reports to the managing director.

    Contacts:

    The Sales Engineer BeNeLux maintains contacts primarily with customers, prospects, and colleagues.

    Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • In addition to maintaining and actively working on the existing customer portfolio, you will also look for new opportunities with prospects and dormant customers.
    • You are a pro-active door opener and you understand the art of cold calling.
    • You keep a finger on the pulse of the market and have a sense of potential customer needs in the field of plastic piping to achieve sustainable growth.
    • Your problem-solving ability allows you to think along with the customer and develop concrete solutions together with your colleagues. Projects vary widely, from repair work, shutdowns to expansions and new construction projects.
    • You are a full-fledged discussion partner at various levels (buyer, engineer, team leader, maintenance technician) and build a strong network.
    • Your helicopter view ensures strict follow-up of projects, where you are supported by the internal service in terms of quotations and calculations and are regularly at the office to monitor progress and work together towards excellent customer service.
    • You work out a sales plan annually together with the managing director.
    • The work area is mainly BeNeLux, but it is also expected that the Sales Engineer will put Thermopol on the map as an installation company in the surrounding countries. This may require short trips abroad.

    Profile and Competencies:

    • You have a higher thinking and working level, acquired through a diploma or relevant experience.
    • You already have several years of experience in a commercial function with proven sustainable portfolio growth results.
    • Affinity with piping, plastic piping, or the process industry is an additional asset.
    • You are a communicative entrepreneurial self-starter with a strong commercial mindset.
    • You have a pronounced hands-on mentality and are a dynamic no-nonsense team player.
    • Knowledge of Dutch, English and French is a must.
