This is a short-term assignment until March 2026.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows 11 and Windows Server environments, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of Java runtime behavior and JDK distributions. Familiarity with application vendor coordination is essential.

What you are going to do

• You will assist with all technical aspects of replacing Oracle Java with OpenJDK on both Windows 11 and Windows Server platforms
• You will assist the business with testing, troubleshooting, and migrating their Oracle Java-dependent applications to open-source Java
• You will liaise with application vendors on technical aspects of the Oracle Java to OpenJDK migration as needed
• You will support the business by facilitating testing and deployment processes for their Oracle Java-dependent applications on Windows clients and servers

Who you are

You are passionate about Java technologies and Windows Server and Client endpoints. You have excellent collaboration skills, are a strong communicator with a proactive mindset, and can work under pressure.

Who you will work with

You will work closely with various teams in Digital WorkPlace; The Endpoint and Application Management team, and the Packaging teams. You will also work with many application owners in the whole of NN helping them in the migration process.
