How many hours a week do you wanna work?
As a delivery runner, you plan your own shifts. They last 2 to 3 hours and are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. You can combine multiple shifts (for example: 14:00 - 22:30).

What does a Picnic delivery driver do on a workday?
As a delivery driver at Picnic, you make sure our customers receive their groceries at home on time. During your shift, you deliver grocery bags that are transported in crates weighing around 20 kg each .
When you arrive at your preferred hub, you get changed, receive the keys to your vehicle, and check your route. Then you head out to deliver groceries to our customers . Back at the hub, you catch up with your fellow drivers, count your tips , and enjoy free snacks.

How much do I earn as a Picnic delivery driver and how does weekly payment work?
The amounts below are gross , based on the e-commerce collective labour agreement, and include 8% holiday allowance.
- 21 years and older: €15.96 per hour
We pay out an 8% holiday allowance once a year in June . In addition, customers can give you tips via the Picnic app. 100% of these tips are yours.
As a Picnic delivery driver, you are paid weekly . This way, you always know where you stand and have money in your account on time.
At which locations can I work as a Picnic delivery driver?
As a Picnic delivery driver, it makes sense to work at the location closest to you. You can work at more than 60 locations across the Netherlands! This way, you know exactly where you can start and can work close to home.

What kind of vehicles do Picnic delivery drivers use?
Our delivery drivers drive iconic electric vehicles that can reach a maximum speed of 50 km/h and are specially designed for grocery deliveries. This allows you to deliver all bags to customers easily, safely and efficiently.
The vehicles are equipped with heating , a radio , and a hand truck , making it easy to transport heavier orders to the customer.
To drive our vehicles, you need a category B driving licence ; a scooter or moped licence (45 km/h) is not sufficient.
How flexible are working hours at Picnic and on which days can I work?
As a Picnic delivery driver, your working hours are very flexible. Shifts last 2 to 3 hours and include morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
The above working hours apply to most locations. Feel free to ask about this during your interview. Depending on the location, they may vary slightly.

- You can combine multiple shifts (for example 14:00 - 22:30)
- We do our best to take your preferences into account when scheduling
- You are available for at least 6 shifts per week
- If one of your shifts doesn't work out, you can swap it with someone else up to one day in advance

Do I need experience to work as a delivery driver at Picnic?
Of course, we expect you to have a category B driving licence and to feel comfortable on the road. Other than that, no experience is required to work as a Picnic delivery driver. On your first working day, you'll receive extensive training so you can start well prepared.

What do I need to get started as a Picnic delivery driver?
As a Picnic delivery driver, we expect the following from you:
- You are energetic , positive , and customer-oriented
- You don't mind carrying 20kg crates and having an active day.
- You have a category B driving licence and are at least 18 years old
- You are available for at least 16 hours per week
- At locations in Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague & Rotterdam, we hire English speakers.
- EU nationality and a valid Dutch citizen service number (BSN); or
- Non-EU nationality with a valid work permit and a Dutch BSN
