Overhaul Mechanic

To support our overhaul department, we are looking for a Mechanic at our Veendam site.

ABS Cylinders produces high-quality hydraulic cylinders for industrial, maritime and offshore applications. From our location in Veendam, we work with an experienced team on customised products where quality and craftsmanship are key. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a (revision) Mechanic who likes to work on tight and visible end results.

1.1Job description:

As a mechanic at ABS and you will be responsible for expertly dismantling, inspecting and repairing our cylinders and related parts. You will work with modern equipment and deliver visible end results that our customers trust. Your duties include:

• Assembly, disassembly & testing of hydraulic cylinders
• Performance of conventional operations
• Performance of general production tasks

1.2Job requirements:

• J e have VMBO/MBO working and thinking level.
• You have demonstrable experience as an (overhaul) mechanic, preferably with cylinders
• You can handle technical drawings and know how to read and understand complex details
• You work accurately and have an eye for detail
• You can work independently but are also a team player
• You work neatly, safely and find it important to deliver beautiful final work

1.3 Job info:

• Annual contract with the prospect of permanent employment
• Day shift, 37.5 hours per week
• Salary €2808 - €3,481 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Days off according to Collective Labour Agreement for the Metal & Engineering Industry
• Good equipment, PPE and a clean, safe workplace
• Ability to broaden work towards assembly, shipping or simple metalworking
• Standard 25 holidays per year, with the option to buy up to 8 additional days
• In addition, you can accrue up to 5 additional days off through the age scheme
• A summer and winter bonus depending on performance and business results
• Support for your development with internal and external education and training courses
