Consumer & Market Insights Manager
As the Consumer & Market Insights Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering the insight ecosystem that powers the venture's strategy, proposition development, and go-to-market success.
You will bring the venture's learning agenda to life through rigorous research execution, AI-enabled insight generation, social data mining, rapid experimentation, and continuous validation. Working closely with the CMI , you will ensure that every innovation, proposition, and marketing decision is grounded in real consumer desirability and proven market potential.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, analytically strong insights professional who is passionate about modern research methods, experimentation, and turning complex data into simple, actionable recommendations.
Your role:
1.Research Execution & Insight Operations
- Execute the venture's end-to-end learning plan as defined with the CMI - spanning early exploration to in-market validation.
- Conduct and manage qualitative and quantitative studies (U&A, concept tests, claims, JTBD, pricing, segmentation).
- Select and manage research partners, agencies, platforms, and AI tools, ensuring high quality, speed, and value.
- Maintain excellence in research design, sampling, fieldwork quality, and analytical rigor.
2. Analytic capability
- Calculate size of opportunity /size of prize of need spaces and proposition using multiple data sources and well-informed assumptions.
- Synthesize unstructured data into meaningful themes that strengthen propositions and strategic recommendations.
3. Agile Experimentation & Fast Validation
- Support rapid test-and-learn cycles including smoke tests, landing-page tests, creative A/B testing, and AI-powered concept screening.
- Partner with the Marketing & Proposition team to build hypotheses, design experiments, and interpret real-world signals to guide iteration.
- Help reduce risk by validating desirability, clarity, and value early in the innovation process.
4. Insight Translation & Storytelling
- Translate research findings into clear opportunity spaces, tension frameworks, target personas, jobs-to-be-done, and actionable strategic implications.
- Craft compelling presentations, narratives, insight decks, and workshops that inspire cross-functional partners.
- Ensure insights inform proposition refinement, product decisions, marketing strategy, and commercial choices.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing & Proposition, Innovation & Operations, and Commercial teams to embed consumer insights throughout the venture's development phases.
- Serve as a trusted partner who brings objectivity, clarity, and consumer truth to decision-making discussions.
- Ensure teams stay aligned with the learning agenda and that insights are activated, not just delivered.
You're the right fit if:
- You've acquired 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, analytics, or related fields within FMCG, beauty, consumer health, durables, or tech-driven consumer categories.
- Your skills include:
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality research and actionable insights that influence product, marketing, or commercial decisions.
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous, or innovation-focused environments.
- Solid grounding in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Strong capability in data synthesis, consumer segmentation, and insight generation.
- Experience with modern insight platforms, automated testing tools, and AI-based analytics preferred.
- Generative AI for clustering, message testing, and synthesizing insights.
- Social and search data tools for trend spotting and digital ethnography.
- Rapid testing environments (concept, creative, landing page).
- Automated research tools and self-serve platforms.
- Ability to turn complex data into simple, compelling narratives that drive alignment and decision-making.
- Skilled at building visually engaging insight outputs, from personas to opportunity maps.
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- You're a strong collaborator with the ability to build trust across marketing, innovation, operations, and commercial teams. You are comfortable influencing without authority and guiding teams through consumer-led decision making. You are highly organized, adaptable, and proactive.
