At Rituals, we don't just create luxurious products. We shape a more sustainable future through conscious innovation and responsible sourcing. As we are at the exciting early stages of implementing our sustainability strategy across climate, biodiversity, and circularity, we are looking for a Sustainable Sourcing Specialist who is eager to build, experiment, and shape what sustainable sourcing looks like for Rituals.

You will be part of the Sourcing, Quality & Regulatory (SQR) Business Improvement team, supporting the development of responsible sourcing solutions for both formulation ingredients and packaging materials. While operational teams keep the business running, you translate our sustainability ambitions into concrete sourcing actions, new tools, and scalable processes. Working closely with R&D and our suppliers, you explore alternatives, pilot new materials, and help embed sustainability in daily decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone who combines analytical strength, curiosity, and initiative someone energized by creating structure, driving improvement, and shaping meaningful change.

    Key Result Areas

    • Execute the sustainable sourcing roadmap for ingredients and packaging, focusing on climate, biodiversity, and circularity.
    • Embed sustainability in sourcing decisions by providing clear data, insights, and recommendations.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to gather sustainability data, explore lower-impact alternatives, and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Analyze CO₂ footprints, materials, and supplier sustainability performance, turning findings into actionable insights and compelling business cases.
    • Partner with R&D to evaluate and pilot new materials, technologies, and circular solutions.
    • Help develop new tools, supplier requirements, and processes that support scalable responsible sourcing.
    • Engage and influence stakeholders, bringing clarity, enthusiasm, and structure in a context where we are building much from scratch.

    Bring all of you

    • 3-5 years of experience in sustainable sourcing or sustainable procurement, ideally within cosmetics, FMCG, chemicals, packaging, or related industries.
    • Passion for sustainability, with hands-on experience in areas such as CO₂ calculations, decarbonization roadmaps, circularity, biodiversity, or certified materials.
    • Strong affinity with sustainability data (emission factors, traceability, certifications, material impact assessments).
    • A proactive, curious mindset comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping new processes.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across R&D, Packaging, Sourcing, and suppliers.
    • Analytical, organized, and able to connect technical sustainability insights to business needs.
    • Motivated by impact and excited to help build a more sustainable supply chain at Rituals.
