Background
- The Cargo Superintendent will exhibit exemplary leadership, managerial and safety behaviors and will ensure that all aspects of Marine and Cargo operations are carried out effectively. Delegated tasks will be monitored and controlled.
- Equivalent to Barge Supervisor (BS) as per Res. A.1079(28) Reg. 6.3
Authority
- The Cargo Superintendent has authority for marine activities such as cargo loading and offloading. They will work with the OIM as required where the safety of the crew and vessel is concerned.

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience
- STCW II/2 Master of ships of 3000gt or more plus DCE for Petroleum /Gas as appropriate
- 5 years sea service on Crude Oil Tankers, (VLCC preferred) with at least 3 years as Ch/Officer. Additional experience at Master rank preferable.
- Knowledge of tanker terminal activities.
- Good knowledge of offshore FPSO operations, including Production, Process, Utilities, Marine Maintenance, and Safety Management.
- Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
- Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
