Have you always dreamed about driving a 18 meter bus throughout Amsterdam and do you live in amsterdam or surrounding areas? Than this is the vacancy for you! 

We will teach you everything you need to know about driving a bus safely. 

As a bus driver, your responsibilities will include safely transporting passengers to their destinations within designated routes and schedules. You will assist passengers, answer their questions, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the bus ride. This job is very diverse where you navigate through our beautiful busy capital city. Every day brings something different, with varying work schedules and routes to explore.  

What kind of course we offer:

During the first 5 months, you will obtain your D driving license and code 95. This training takes place in the evening hours, allowing you to work elsewhere during the day. During this period you will not receive a salary, but you will receive your bus driver’s license D and code 95. 

Once you have completed this the training becomes paid, and you will learn the GVB routes. This part of the training lasts an additional month. 

In total, the training takes approximately 6 months.

Functie-eisen

Your heart skips a beat at the idea that you are in control of a large vehicle. You will drive in both diesel and electric buses. And of course you are service minded and customer-friendly.  

• Do you live in or around Amsterdam for at least 185 days?
• Do you have a valid Dutch BSN number?
• Do you have a valid Dutch B license?
• Is your height between 1,63 and 2,02 m? 
• Do you also have a dutch postal address?
• Do you have at least 1 year driving experience in the netherlands with this license?
• Could you get a certificate of good conduct if we apply for it for you later in the process?
• Do you have your own car/e-bike, motor?

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

Get your category D driver's license for free: We provide training as a bus driver with category D driver's license for free!

Excellent salary: After obtaining your driver's license category D, you will receive a starting salary between €2,658 and €3,260 per month, based on a 40-hour work week. You will also receive an allowance for irregular hours and 8% vacation pay and a thirteenth month's salary.

Clear schedule: the first year you will be employed by olympia. You work flexible shifts of up to 8 hours and 45 minutes. You indicate yourself when you are available and when not. after about 1 year your contract can be taken over by GVB. 

Free public transport GVB: If you work at GVB you travel for free with our public transport vehicles, also in your free time.
