Are you willing to support to the success of our projects? Do you have the ability to strategically align the supply chain in order to find the optimum in quality, price and planning? We, within our challenging procurement department are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Category Buyer Civil Works for the DEME Group.

You will develop and implement sourcing strategies for harbor construction, dams and sea defenses, canal construction, revetment, quay wall construction and shore protection.   • You'll take the lead in tender management, selecting suppliers as well as concluding, maintaining, and managing contracts, expenses and agreements.

  • You'll develop and manage a network of reliable and stable suppliers.

  • You'll also build strong internal partnerships with our operational departments and budget owners.

  • You know your way around contract lifecycle management: ensuring that contracts are executed correctly, monitoring performance and compliance and taking action when necessary.

  • Analyze recurring supply issues, identify root causes and lead corrective action plans.

  • Analyze spend and procurement data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and prepare concise reports for management with key findings and recommendations.

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with the Category Manager, providing insightful updates and feedback to support informed decision-making.

    • You hold a master's degree in (civil) engineering, and/or applied economics business engineer, or equal by experience.

    • You're a real talent in negotiating and steer each discussion towards the desired results.

    • Interest and affinity for technical subjects.

    • You are able to keep an overview of multiple projects simultaneously. You can clearly distinguish between critical issues and less important matters, ensuring that priorities are managed effectively.

    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.

    • You're fluent in English, Dutch is an asset.

    • You will work in the DEME HQ in Zwijndrecht, Belgium, and are prepared to travel when needed.

You will report to the ME Engineer.

Due to our sustained investment effort DEME operates one of the largest and most modern, versatile and purpose-built fleets in the world. As a ME technician you will work in a challenging environment in which you are dealing with heavy equipment, complex installations and project deadlines.

Your main location will be at our offices at our DEME Base Vlissingen (DBV), the Netherlands.

Join our team as a Reliability Engineer and lead the proactive enhancement of our asset reliability. You'll play a pivotal role in developing, implementing and overseeing maintenance strategies throughout our FLEET of vessels. You use your analytical mindset to identify priorities and areas for improvement to boost asset availability and performance, while adhering to the fundamental principle of total cost of ownership.

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will focus on a wide variety of challenges supporting our cable installation business unit on offshore windfarms. Your challenges will extend from multi-disciplinary cable route engineering to cable burial studies and managing complex soil datasets. You will be responsible for sound and expert output to support our project and tender teams or work on one of our many R&D projects.

The engineering department in Breda consists of approximately 30 employees. You will work in an international team of 8 Hydraulic and Geotechnical engineers. As a geotechnical engineer you will support our commercial and project teams by providing, amongst other things, expert advice on cable protection strategies and cable route design. Together with the team, you will help our society transition to a sustainable future.

As a Design Manager Offshore Wind, you will play a key role in developing and managing state-of-the-art designs for our offshore wind cable and/or foundation projects.

You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, suppliers, and clients to create optimal solutions that support both the project life cycle and our ambition to drive the energy transition forward. You can work from our office in Breda or our headquarters, and be part of a team of pioneers who turn ideas into reality and push the boundaries of what's possible in offshore engineering.
