Job description

As a Consumer Insights Manager in our Rotterdam office, you'll partner with major tech clients (including consumer electronics, software, hardware, and digital platforms) to solve strategic marketing challenges. You'll lead projects, guide teams, and deliver insights that shape business decisions.

In this role, imagine yourself being responsible for the following:

• Client management : you will be leading, growing and nurturing different clients independently. You are encouraged to take ownership of both well-established accounts and new ones. The goal is to develop partnerships with a long-term view, based on trust and expertise!
• Project management : you will be leading and supervising project teams from the proposal writing phase, up until and including the project delivery.
• Account management : as Manager you will be joining different accounts of various sizes, both local and international. Together with the teams, you will discuss trends, opportunities, and other relevant topics to grow the accounts further.
• You will be guiding the work of Analysts , helping them with their growth and career development.

Additionally, we believe in continuous development and offer multiple paths for growth:

• Becoming an account lead: developing the strategic plan for an account and leading a team of people who are focused on the account.
• Through SKIMs different internal expertise networks. A lot of the team's work is in Revenue Management and Portfolio Optimization. The internal expertise networks linked to these areas are continuously growing our thought leadership and developing new methods and solutions. Besides projects, you can take on additional responsibilities in one of these networks and grow into a pillar-leading role.
• Career management of Analysts. Besides having direct reports, you can also manage Analysts' career paths by becoming their GPS (Grow, Perform, Succeed) manager.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior consulting and research experience on the agency side, combined with an understanding of advanced analytical and data science techniques (e.g., conjoint, driver analysis, segmentation etc.). Typically, we are looking for someone with the following profile:

• 4-6 years of relevant work experience in market research and consulting
• Relevant industry knowledge and experience within the Tech industry
• An affinity for client management and relationship building with your clients
• The ability to independently run projects and client contact
• A combination of strong strategic thinking and a hands-on, process-driven approach
• The ability to turn complex business issues and data into simple and actionable recommendations
• A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to deliver with and through others
• Experience with conjoint methodologies and virtual shelf tests is a plus
• You are authorized to work in the Netherlands and have full working proficiency in both English and Dutch
