What do we expect?

• At least an MBO level 4 diploma and HBO-level working and thinking skills;
• You are proactive, independent, and curious; you enjoy finding things out;
• You are stress-resistant, maintain oversight, and can prioritise effectively, even when plans change at short notice;
• You enjoy teamwork but can also work independently and liaise easily with different colleagues;
• You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

As a Planner, you play a crucial role in ensuring our operational project planning runs smoothly. You make sure the right people are working on the right projects at the right time and collaborate closely with colleagues from production, engineering, team leaders, and our international branches.

You will have plenty of freedom and responsibility and, during your onboarding, you will become familiar with both operational and tactical processes, giving you a broad skill set and a clear overview of the organisation.

Additionally, you will work closely with the Demand Planner, act as their sparring partner, and take over their tasks during absences.

You are curious, ask questions, take on new challenges, and actively grow into your role.

This will be your day

8:00 You start your day at the office with a cup of coffee. Together with your colleagues, you open the shared mailbox, categorise incoming requests, and set priorities for the day. You have a quick team meeting and discuss staffing and ongoing projects with the production and engineering team leaders. 10:00 You process the latest project schedules and staffing requirements in the AWL . You schedule employees in consultation with team leaders, taking budgets and deadlines into account. You work on keeping the operational planning up to date and identify any potential bottlenecks. 13:00 After lunch, you have a meeting with Arjan (the Demand Planner) and Chiel (your manager) to discuss project progress. You identify where things might be going wrong and contribute ideas for solutions. 15:00 You dive into the financial overviews and upload the budgets into the system. You work on answering outstanding questions, proactively search for information, and process ad hoc changes in the planning. 16:15 You coordinate with international branches, for example in the Czech Republic, China or Mexico, regarding staffing and project progress. You process all changes in the planning, communicate clearly with all stakeholders, and wrap up the day with the team: what has been achieved, where the challenges lie, and how you can support each other tomorrow. You hand everything over neatly for the next day and leave for home with a sense of accomplishment.
