We are looking for a:

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER ASIA

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer who is based in Asia and who speaks good English and preferably Chinese. In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning new dryers and coolers for the feed and food industry, as well as providing technical support to Geelen Counterflow customers in Asian countries.

WHO WE ARE

Geelen Counterflow is the preferred supplier of dryers and coolers to global market leaders in extruded feed and food. Our installations are chosen for their energy efficiency, hygienic design, and low maintenance costs.

The newest generation of Counterflow Dryers runs on gas, steam, hot water, electricity, or hybrid systems, providing maximum flexibility to improve energy efficiency and decarbonize the drying process. Our hygienic Counterflow Coolers are successfully applied in the feed and food industries.

All equipment is manufactured in the Netherlands and then assembled and commissioned on-site (worldwide) by our field service team. To support our customers worldwide, we also have Field Service Engineers in Mexico, Ecuador, Argentina, Vietnam and the Netherlands, who collaborate closely and serve our global customer base.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Commission dryers and coolers in Asian countries.
• Test I/O, PLC, and HMI, perform cold and hot testing and start up the installation together with the local operators.
• Train operators and maintenance teams.
• Stay in close contact with customers, answer questions, provide remote support and carry out regular optimization visits.
• Collaborate and coordinate with your colleagues, who will provide support when needed.
• Share feedback and experiences with the Field Service, Sales, and R&D teams in the Netherlands.
• Report to the Manager Field Service.

YOUR PROFILE

• You live in Asia.
• You speak good English (spoken and written), Chinese is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in the same industry.
• Knowledge of industrial automation (PLCs, HMIs, networks).
• Hands-on mentality, willing to get your hands dirty if needed.
• Analytical, independent and solution-oriented.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel 50-70% of your time.
