Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking an experienced senior financial with strong expertise in auditing and VAT/tax returns. The ideal candidate has recent hands-on experience leading financial activities of different entities, audit processes (not just supporting) and possess a solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements in the Netherlands. Previous experience in freelancing and leading financial project is ideal.

Description

We are seeking an experienced senior financial who primarily support in the following tasks:

• Lead and execute internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Manage VAT and tax return processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Assist with the year end closing.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.

Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, and audit in the Netherlands.
• Able to work independently and take full ownership of responsibilities.
• Proficiency in English; Dutch fluency is not required.
• Available to commute to the office in Amsterdam on a daily basis.
• Available for 40 hours.
• Start immediately, no relocation possible.
