Packaging Sustainability Expert

You'll join our global R&D Packaging Team in Wageningen, where innovation meets purpose.

Being successful in this role means faster and better project execution by the teams, strengthening our packaging portfolio towards a sustainable future. Next to driving and building the data based knowledge on packaging sustainability, you will also execute packaging sustainability related projects.

In short, you will:

• Analyze packaging data to identify sustainability improvement opportunities and reporting it to the organization.
• Support to further optimize our data reporting system.
• Translate upcoming packaging legislation, provided by regulatory affairs, into clear implications for our packaging portfolio.
• Explore, build and deliver essential future packaging material expertise.
• Collaborate closely with external partners to ensure close connection from FrieslandCampina to developments in the market, enabling to define the best route towards the future.

  Deliver packaging sustainability related projects by participating as an expert.

What we ask

• Academic degree in a relevant technological education/background (industrial engineering or design, material science).
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with packaging data, data management systems and related tools.
• Experience in packaging development and/or good knowledge of packaging technologies and materials.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in the area of packaging development.
• Continuous improvement and learning mindset - as the sustainability landscape in packaging evolves continuously.
• Good communication skills - able to explain complex sustainability topics clearly
• A collaborative mindset and experience working in cross-functional teams.
