How to make every space safe: Designing products which everyone can use, for all spaces to protect our most valuable, our life. (max 3 places available)

Everyone knows our product (yes, you do too) but no one knows who we are. That's our problem.

Who are we?

Let's introduce us, Alprokon is a Dutch company who produces safety products for every space. Our main product are astragals. These are closing systems for double doors. This product, since early seventies, comes in different varieties and with an extra functional value like fire resistance, Smoke, sound and/or burglar proof. Some other products provide roof safety, a safe escape e.g. We are an innovative production company with 30 colleagues, based in Barendrecht (NL) and distribute 95% of our products through dealers. We love to innovate and do things.

Where do we come from?

The project you will be signing up for is to achieve our Big Hairy Audacious Goal in 2030; Everybody in NL knows Alprokon and understands our mission! This BHAG has been written down in 2020 and since then we defined our mission statement and redesigned our identity. Our mission statement:

At Alprokon, we believe everyone deserves a safe space. Whether you're at home, at work, or visiting, we want you to feel carefree. That's why we do everything we can to make the Netherlands safer every day.

Our main products, astragals, are very well known in a specific group of professionals in the building industry. Purely Business to Business, however, we believe that we can bring so much more to the market when it comes to safety of spaces. Maybe produced within our facility or maybe produced or bought somewhere else, we are open for it. Important to us is that we own and support the product. By that we mean that we developed it or that we get some kind of uniqueness with it.

Our next step in our BHAG is to expand to the B2C market with a consumer platform which provides all kinds of products that supports our mission and to make every (private home) space safe. (elke ruimte veilig.))

This is as simple as complex. Provide us with unique products to make every private home space safe. Feel free, be free to expand, even if this means that space safety must be redefined.

As we always say; If a solution seems doable, it probably isn't good enough……. Push beyond!

What's in it for you then?

Other than a challenging learning curve we offer you our expertise, a financial compensation of € 500,- per month plus travel costs. If needed, a working space at our company in Barendrecht and we will provide the materials you need. At Alprokon you'll meet a dedicated and diverse team, combining expertise and youth. And finally, after you gave birth to the idea, the growing of a new product, your own Alprokon product.

How to finalize?

The presentation will be at our facilities in Barendrecht, we provide a nice BBQ, you will push the idea(s). This will be a nice closing, in the meanwhile however, we are always open to discuss milestones, look at possibilities and investigate production in house. For that, you are welcome to visit us. Off course, you can use our expertise any time. Our team has a good mix of creativity and experience. Come and have a look around.
