For a challenging role in our Team Development we are looking for a DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at Paydia, your heart beats faster when you automate and configure. You feel completely at home in a

hosting infrastructure consisting of virtual machines on Ubuntu Server LTS, managed by Puppet/Ansible/Salt/Chef or the like (choice

has not yet been made). You know how to roll out a major version migration of web applications. You like scripting

programming, because you believe that it is better to automate than to document. You think along with us how we can now and in the

need to manage our infrastructure in the future.

We currently use dedicated/managed hosting. But that will definitely shift to the

in the near future cloud. You help us to draw up and implement a plan for this.

You ensure that our existing platforms continue to run smoothly. The solutions we host are often essential for the

services of our clients and our parent company Flexpedia. We unburden them - and ourselves - through proactive maintenance

to be carried out. In practice, this results in smoothly operating solutions with virtually no downtime. Within the DevOps team you work

participate in the strategic choices, both for the short and the long term, regarding the implementation and (further) development of

verslaglegging, en zorgt dat alles netjes gedocumenteerd is. Daarnaast ondersteun je het development team met het bouwen en uitrollen van hun applicaties.

+ You get excited about continuous integration (CI), delivery & deployments (CD) and you are not shocked by the terminal (Bash, Zsh)

+ You have affinity with .NET, NodeJS, and/or PHP

+ Pre: you have knowledge or want to learn more about: - cloud computing (Azure/AWS) - containers (Dapr, Docker, AWS ECS) - security and monitoring (ELK, Datadog, CloudWatch)

+ Je verzorgt en stroomlijnt backups van alle belangrijke data

+ Je zorgt voor up-to-date security & redundancy van alle belangrijke systemen

+ Je regelt security testing en patching

+ Je installeert en doet het onderhoud van (cloud) servers

+ Je automatiseert en documenteert de werkzaamheden

+ Je monitort de performance en load en stuurt bij en escaleert waar nodig

+ Je denkt mee over de toekomst van de diensten van Paydia (wij staan altijd open voor

+ Je hebt minimaal 2 jaar werkervaring en je weet waar je het over hebt

+ Je woont in omgeving Haarlem/Amsterdam/Alkmaar/Leiden

+ Je beheerst de Engelse taal in woord en schrift. De voertaal in het development team is

Engels vanwege het internationale karakter

+ Je bent bekend met de verschillende onderdelen waaruit een hostingplatform bestaat,

zoals:

-Proxies

-Load balancers

-Webservers

-Databases (SQL & NoSQL)

-Package tools (NuGet, Composer, NPM)

-DNS

-Firewalls

-SSL

-VCS (Git, maar kennis van Subversion of Perforce is ook goed)

What we offer you:

+ Salary between € 2,900 and € 3,600 gross per month
