Credit Controller - EMEA (The Netherlands)

NextPax is a software company that develops and manages solutions for businesses in the travel industry, such as Booking.com, Airbnb, Marriott and Expedia. We are often a preferred partner for these companies and maintain close working relationships with them. These names are just a small selection of the hundreds of vacation rental and hotel providers on one side, and the websites on the other, that we work with in this exciting industry.

We have offices in The Netherlands, the United States, and Singapore, with a total team of 35 people. About half of our team are developers, many of them based in Almere, while the other half works directly with clients all over the world. For this team, we are now looking for a proactive and accurate Credit Controller to strengthen our finance department.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of debtor management and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
• Monitor payment terms and follow up with clients by phone, email and written reminders
• Resolve payment issues and discrepancies in close cooperation with clients and internal teams
• Process incoming payments and keep debtor records up to date
• Make payments to creditors and check outgoing payments
• Keep both debtor and creditor ledgers accurate and up to date
• Support in invoicing and assist with preparing periodic overviews for management
• Identify risks and suggest improvements in the debtor and creditor process to reduce overdue payments and errors

What you bring

• HBO degree in finance, accounting, or administration (or equivalent experience)
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in credit control or accounts receivable/payable
• Strong communication skills: professional but persistent when following up with clients
• Excellent knowledge of English, and preferably also Dutch, spoken and written
• Structured and accurate way of working with an eye for detail
• Experience with Exact Online, HubSpot and/or Basecone is a plus

• A base salary between €3,000 and €3,500 per month, depending on experience
• A contract for at least 32 hours per week with hybrid working possibilities from Almere and home
