For our Botlek Terminal (CTBO) we are looking for a Mechanical Work Planner - Work from Inspection - who brings structure, thinks ahead and translates inspection findings into safe and executable maintenance.

Where will you be working?

CTBO is a technically complex terminal in the heart of the Rotterdam Botlek area. Here we store liquid bulk products such as mineral oils, chemicals and biofuels. The terminal is characterized by a wide variety of storage tanks, piping systems and installations, with a strong focus on asset integrity, legislation and regulations, and safe working. This requires a maintenance organization that is well structured and where cooperation is crucial.

You will work within the Mechanical Maintenance team of CTBO. In this team you work together with two other work planners. You report to the maintenance team leader and work closely with three supervisors who manage the work in the field. Maintenance execution is largely carried out by contractors. You ensure that they can perform their work well prepared, safely and according to plan. You do not carry out hands on work yourself, but you are regularly in the field to scope and review the work. Your strength lies in preparation, alignment and control.

You work with the maintenance management system Maximo and have frequent contact with various internal and external stakeholders, including the Inspection department, mechanics and supervisors, the Maintenance Engineer, Operations and HSEQ.

Representative activities

As a Mechanical Work Planner WUI you are the link between inspection and execution. You ensure that work resulting from inspections does not remain outstanding, but is translated into clear, executable and safe work packages.

Your activities include, among others:

• Translating inspection reports into concrete maintenance activities
• Preparing, planning and coordinating mechanical maintenance resulting from inspections
• Creating work orders and work packages in Maximo, including scope, materials, drawings and safety documentation
• Aligning activities with inspection, maintenance engineer, supervisors, operations and contractors
• Monitoring quality, safety and progress of the work
• Ensuring correct registration, feedback and completion of activities in the system
• Identifying bottlenecks in work preparation or execution and proposing improvements

Through your work you directly contribute to the technical integrity and reliability of our terminal.

What do you bring to the table

You are structured, communicatively strong and feel responsible for proper preparation. You know what is required to carry out maintenance safely and efficiently in an industrial environment.

In addition, you bring:

• A completed mbo level education in a technical field such as mechanical engineering or maintenance
• Experience with mechanical maintenance within the process or petrochemical industry
• Experience with work preparation or a strong ambition to further develop yourself in this area
• Knowledge of inspections and work from inspection is a clear plus
• Knowledge of piping, where a large part of the work consists of piping systems
• The ability to read, understand and apply ISO drawings and P&ID diagrams
• The ability to translate technical documentation and inspection reports into practical, executable and safe work packages
• VCA VOL or the willingness to obtain this certification
