As Operations Manager, you are at the heart of the production process. You maintain an overview, connect people, and have a keen eye for areas of improvement. Sometimes you are literally standing next to a mechanic assembling an innovative component, other times you are sitting around the table with your colleagues from the management team discussing the future of the company.

As Operations Manager at , you will be part of the Management Team. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, but also for setting the course for tomorrow. It is a role in which you will bring calm and direction, and in which you will translate your vision into concrete improvements in production, processes, and collaboration.

Where will you be working?

We are , an innovative family business based in Heerenveen, the Netherlands, that designs, builds and supplies CPT equipment for onshore, offshore and nearshore soil investigation. Our customers are spread all over the world. We are continuously working on innovations in the field of CPT equipment. The equipment, instruments, software, etc. are completely developed and made in-house. Our company consists of about 70 employees and the company culture is characterized by: pride in your work, respect for each other, working together and continuing to learn and adapt. We are growing in various areas. We don't do crazy things, but we are far from standing still. Not in our products, but not in our operations either.

About your position

As Operations Manager and MT member, you will be responsible for the operational management of production and will actively contribute to the company's strategy. You will monitor production capacity, set priorities, and coordinate projects to achieve objectives in terms of quality, efficiency, costs, and delivery reliability.

What do we require from you?

We are looking for an Operations Manager who combines strategic insight with operational decisiveness and coaching leadership:

• HBO or WO education, preferably in (Technical) Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering;
• Demonstrable experience in a production environment and MT role;
• Management experience;
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and ERP packages is an advantage;
• Insight into supply chain management and production processes;
• Strong communication skills

You are analytical, decisive, results-oriented, and an inspiring leader. You know how to get people on board, create trust, and ensure a safe, motivating work environment.

Who will you be working with and for?

You will be part of the management team and report to the Managing Director. Together with the Commercial Director, Finance Manager, Head of Engineering & Development, and HR Manager, you will work on strategic decision-making, improvement projects, and investment proposals. You will manage the planning department (production manager, process engineer, work preparation, and purchasing) and the warehouse.
