As an OP Welder at Sif, you play a crucial role in semi-automatic welding of circumferential seams.

Your responsibilities

The automation allows for consistently high-quality welding. At Sif, we work with great precision on enormous steel plates, around 42 tons and 27 meters long. With one or more welding heads simultaneously, you ensure great accuracy. Large currents can be used, allowing for significant deposition rates. Large welding depths are possible, and the welding speed is high.Safety is a top priority. Before you start, you ensure that you wear the right protective equipment and perform a check. Then, you set up the equipment correctly and according to the prescribed procedures. You carefully monitor the quality of your work. Your passion for welding and metalworking will only grow at Sif. We will teach you the ins and outs of submerged arc welding (OP welding) on special materials. Additionally, you play a significant role in the energy transition. Our massive steel monopile tubes for offshore wind parks withstand the elements, thanks in part to your meticulous work.

Who are you?

You have a passion for welding and metalworking, and you always strive for precision in your work. With a keen eye for detail, you enjoy working on challenging projects where quality and safety are paramount. You are eager to learn and find it interesting to work with advanced welding techniques such as OP welding. Experience with MIG/MAG welding or similar certification is a plus, but above all your enthusiasm and dedication are important. You are willing to work 3-shifts and are open to further development within a fast-growing, future-oriented industry. With your responsibility and professionalism, you will contribute directly to the energy transition and the production of high-quality offshore wind foundations.

You possess;

• You have a VCA Basis certificate in Dutch or English or are willing to obtain one.
• It's an advantage if you have an NIL Level 2 MIG/MAG welding certificate (or equivalent).
• You have a passion for metalworking.
• Willingness to work in a 3-shift system.
