Vacancy description

As a Packaging Developer at FrieslandCampina, you'll work at the heart of innovation, translating complex requirements into smart, sustainable packaging solutions. On a daily basis, you'll collaborate with colleagues from R&D, marketing, procurement, supply chain, and quality, as well as with external packaging suppliers and co-manufacturers. Your scope is global, and your work will touch a wide range of packaging formats and technologies, from PET bottles, metal cans and cartons to flexibles and industrial packaging.

You'll lead packaging development projects from concept to implementation, ensuring that packaging meets consumer expectations, complies with legislation, and supports operational efficiency. Whether you're optimizing a bottle for a dairy drink, improving pallet stability for a cream product, or validating a more sustainable secondary packaging format, your impact will be felt across the value chain, from our member farmers to our customers and consumers.

Affinity with and experience in working with the MEPA region (Middle East, Pakistan, and Africa) is a strong plus, as many of our packaging projects are tailored to the needs and conditions of these dynamic markets.

Staying true to who you really are, that is your starting point at FrieslandCampina. Because it is precisely by embracing our differences that we can grow together. We want to create a working environment that allows all employees to bring their best and authentic selves. If who we are suits you, but you're not sure if you're the best fit for the role, we still encourage you to apply so we can help you find the role that fits you best.

For thousands of people every day, we are more than just a dairy company. To our farmers, our employees, the communities we serve, the businesses we work with and the people to whom we bring happiness, FrieslandCampina means something more. For them it's not just about what we do, but who we are.

We value talented people from any background who want to contribute to something bigger than themselves. We encourage all of our employees to make decisions that benefit our entire company. At FrieslandCampina we own our own career and act accordingly. We trust you to make a difference in your job and influence the bigger picture. Working at FrieslandCampina means you are contributing to a better world.

You'll be part of FrieslandCampina's R&D Packaging team, based at the Innovation Center in Wageningen. Our team supports all business units and works across a wide range of packaging formats: bottles, cups, cartons, cans, industrial, and flexible, covering both B2B and B2C markets. We're an expertise-driven group that values not only delivering high-quality results, but also enjoying the journey. For us, working hard goes hand in hand with having fun, supporting each other, and creating a positive, energizing work environment.
