Our proprietary Axiomer™ RNA editing technology platform enables the editing of specific single nucleotides in RNA using the cells own editing machinery. Axiomer RNA editing technology harnesses ADAR (Adenosine Deaminase Acting on RNA), a protein which is present in all human cells, to repair G-to-A mutations, modulate protein, and enable protective mutation functions. Axiomer could potentially yield a new class of innovative medicines and treat currently untreatable diseases. By harnessing the power of RNA editing, we aim to create a world where genetics inform your health - but never limit it.

Our R&D department is currently looking for a Lab automation Researcher (Full-time) to join our team.

As Lab Automation Researcher you will support the expansion of our high-throughput experimental capabilities. The activities within this role combine hands-on laboratory work with automation and process optimization. You will work closely with scientists, technicians and bioinformaticians across the department to improve our laboratory and data automation workflows.

Location: Leiden, NL (on-site)

We expect our Lab Automation Researcher to have:

• At least an HLO/Bachelor's degree in life science or molecular biology

• At least 3 years of working experience, preferably within the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry

• Experience in culture of primary cells and cell lines and their downstream RNA processing and analysis e.g. RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis and (digital) PCR

• Experience with development, optimization, and scaling of molecular bioassays for high-throughput screening.

• Proven affinity with operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated liquid handling platforms. Experience with Fluent from Tecan is a plus

• Knowledge of laboratory automation concepts and workflows .

• Experience with/or strong interest in LIMS and digital lab systems.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple experiments in parallel.
