About The Vacancy

As a GreenPedagogical Assistant at Natuurfontein, you will be responsible for the after-school care of children. You will pick them up from school by electric cargo bike and go directly to one of the many green places in Amsterdam to have adventures. You always do that, weather or no weather. That's the power and challenge of nature. While playing outside, you give the children space for their own play, but you also get to make nettle soup or popcorn on your brought fire bowl. Climb trees, identify birds, collect food from nature. You guide children and make them wiser. Your vision and knowledge of the child you bring up daily during the handover to parents. You know the children and what growth they are going through.

Your (location) team consists of a maximum of 10 pedagogical employees. Usually you will work with 2 or 3 colleagues to make a great afternoon for 20 to 30 children. The children have all primary school ages (4 to 12 years) and you are responsible for 10 children per afternoon. For this job it is important that you like to tackle things and are able to improvise due to changing (weather) conditions.

About you

• Minimum MBO Pedagogical Work level 3. Are you still in training or would you like to train? Get in touch, there are plenty of opportunities!
• Good command of the Dutch language. Basic English is an advantage
• You are an approachable, enthusiastic, green and enterprising person
• You have great perseverance, sense of responsibility and are optimistic
• You love being outdoors!

• €2,577 - €3,541 (gross based on a 36-hour work week), advancement possibilities to scale 7.
