Structured, accurate and in control - that's how you work best. As a Document Controller at Van Oord, you play a key role in ensuring our complex marine projects run efficiently and safely. You'll manage the document flow, oversee quality, and guide others in doing the same. With your expertise, we can keep building the future - well-organised and one step ahead.

As a Document Controller in our QHSE department, you'll be a key player in both national and international projects, contributing to our commitment to safety and sustainability. You'll be a focal point for project-related document control matters, facilitating seamless communication among your project team, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

In your role as Document Controller you are the point of contact for counterpart and/or stakeholders. But also for the project team regarding document control. In the same time you have the responsibility to oversee the project document flow of one package or a small project. And if that is not enough, you will also responsible to coach and guides your team members.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage and Controls registers (lists) and files documents in our SharePoint based Document Management System;
• Managing and processing of internal and external documents;
• Checks compliance and quality of documents;

The Document Control team comprises 28 enthusiastic colleagues who are setting a new standard for the quality of our work. Together with the team, you will focus on further professionalizing and automating our workflow to provide the best support for our project and tender teams. You report on project level to the Lead Document Controller and Project Director and for department matters to the Document Control Manager.

Internally, you will collaborate with various disciplines. You will also engage with external stakeholders such as clients, suppliers, certification authorities, and more. Every day is slightly different, and that's exactly what keeps you motivated!

For this position, we are looking for a meticulous and proactive professional who thrives on the structured management of documentation within a dynamic technical environment. The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

• MBO working and thinking level;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in document control;
• Proficiency in written and spoken English & German;
• Minimum 40hrs availability;
• Living in the Netherlands within 1 hour travelling distance of Van Oord office (Rotterdam).
