As an Ocean Freight Forwarder you organize and coordinate international transports by land and sea, including documentation, communication with various parties, and price negotiations. Ocean and road freight are most important for this role.

Client Details

The organization we are recruiting for is a growing international company specializing in the purchase, sale, and rental of forklifts and container handling equipment. They are located in the Western Port area of Amsterdam, with branches in Europe, Dubai, Africa, Australia, and Central America.

Description

• You are an expert in freight transport, often referred to as "the architect of transportation."
• You maintain good relationships with clients, port authorities, shipping companies, transport firms, and customs agents.
• You handle the daily arrangement of transport for both import and export by road or sea.
• You manage the necessary documents and administration.
• You negotiate freight rates with carriers.
• You are responsible for invoicing.

Profile

• Educational background in Logistics is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Incoterms.
• Proven experience with ocean and road freight.
• Proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of Dutch, German and/or French is an advantage.

Job Offer

• Salary range between €3.000-€4.000 per month, negotiable based on experience.
• End-year bonus
• 24 holidays per year
• €0.23 per km allowance

• Working 32-hours is possible
