What will you do
As lead tutor for Professional Development you will be responsible for overseeing, developing, and delivering our institutional didactic training and continuous professional development programme for lecturers. In addition, you will develop, organise, and deliver workshops on professional development topics (e.g. inclusion, neurodiversity, crisis management, social safety, working with neurodivergent students, etc.), in close collaboration with the Student Counsellor, Educational Development Office, Student Psychologist, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities are
- Designing and updating the curriculum of our current "Artist as Teacher" programme (BKE/BDB), making sure content reflects current best practices in higher education pedagogy, aligns with institutional educational goals, and complies with accreditation requirements;
- Maintaining accreditation standards (national / international), preparing documentation, liaising with accrediting bodies, and ensuring ongoing compliance;

- Teaching modules yourself: delivering face-to-face and/or online trainings, workshops, seminars, and mentoring sessions for lecturers;
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (Student Counsellor, EDO, Student Psychologist, HR, Educational Technology) to co-design and deliver workshops on topics such as social safety, inclusion, diversity, working with neurodivergent students, crisis management, wellbeing in teaching, assessment practices, etc;
- Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on programme outcomes: collecting feedback, analysing data (participant satisfaction, outcomes, retention), making improvements, and reporting to senior management;
- Contributing to strategic planning of professional development initiatives: identifying future trends, proposing new workshops or curriculum enhancements, ensuring continuous lecturer professionalisation aligned with institutional goals;
- Acting as a champion for lecturer professionalisation: advocating for pedagogic development, integrating new teaching methods and innovations across the institution, and promoting lifelong learning for academic staff.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with both pedagogic expertise in higher education and hands-on experience managing didactic programmes. You are visionary and strategic, but also detail-oriented and pragmatic. You thrive in collaboration and know how to work across functions and disciplines.
- Academic Master's degree (or higher) in education, higher education studies, pedagogy, learning & teaching, or a related field. PhD is desirable but not strictly required if equivalent experience is present;
- Substantial experience in higher education teaching and lecturer training programmes (eg. BKE/BDB or equivalent);
- Proven track record in curriculum development, course design, and module updates;
- Experience with accreditation processes or quality assurance in higher education (national / international);
- Strong experience delivering workshops and training (in person and online), including ability to communicate complex pedagogic ideas to academic staff;
- Experience working with diverse educational topics (inclusion, neurodiversity, crisis management, student wellbeing etc.);
- Excellent organisational and project management skills; ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage schedules, deadlines, and resources;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills;
- Technological proficiency: experience working with learning management systems, online platforms, educational technology tools;
- Experience working in creative or practice-based educational environments.
Preferably
- Experience supervising or coordinating a team of tutors or facilitators;
- Publications, presentations or continuous professional development credentials in pedagogy or higher education teaching;
