As a car mechanic/technician at Tijhof Autotransporters, you'll spend your entire day repairing car transport systems. You'll do this with the same level of ambition as all your Tijhof colleagues. Your technical expertise is highly valued, and to best apply it, you'll work in a well-equipped work environment with high-quality equipment and machinery. Starting in May 2023, Tijhof Autotransporters will be located in a brand-new building at Twente Noord Business Park in Almelo.

What are you going to do?

This role is all about building and maintaining strong relationships. You'll be in regular contact with clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction and well-being. At the same time, you'll be alert to new market opportunities and know exactly how to meet potential clients' needs. By actively listening and providing targeted advice, you'll create lasting partnerships that go beyond a one-time sale.

You'll work from a clear plan with concrete goals and intelligently leverage data and insights to reach the right customers. Modern sales and marketing tools, such as CRM systems and social media, help you work in a structured and results-oriented manner. In close collaboration with the marketing team and technical specialists, you'll translate customer inquiries into appropriate solutions. This way, you'll combine commercial acumen with substantive knowledge to offer customers the best possible experience.

  • You have regular contact with customers and ensure that they remain satisfied
  • You actively look for opportunities in the market and respond to needs
  • You follow a well-considered approach to achieve your goals and use data and insights to approach the right customers.
  • You use CRM, social media and other digital tools intelligently to achieve results (including in consultation/collaboration with marketing).

Your profile

You're a real go-getter with a commercial mindset and a passion for customer contact. Where others wait, you see opportunities and take immediate action to capitalize on them. You enjoy working according to a plan, yet remain flexible enough to quickly adapt to the demands of the situation. Your fluent communication style makes connecting with people easy and allows you to build trust naturally. An affinity for automotive, bodywork, or transport is a plus-but certainly not a requirement-for success in this role.
