You are responsible for managing end‑to‑end payroll and benefits for the Netherlands and supporting payroll across other EU countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent employee support. The role combines payroll operations, data integrity, and process improvement while collaborating closely with HR and Finance.

The organization is also in the process of rolling out a new global payroll system, creating an exciting moment for innovation and improvement.

Description

• Manage the full monthly payroll cycle for the Netherlands-including setting up payroll from scratch when needed (e.g. Belastingdienst registrations, 30% ruling)-and support payroll activities across EU countries.
• Oversee pensions, insurance schemes, and other benefits, ensuring accurate processing and delivering high‑quality support to employees.
• Maintain, validate, and update payroll and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with Dutch and EU regulations.
• Produce payroll reports for HR and Finance, support internal/external audits, and collaborate with external payroll providers; experience working as a provider is a strong plus.
• Serve as the main point of contact for payroll‑related questions, while demonstrating flexibility to answer broader HR inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and contribute to global People Operations projects.

Profile

• You have completed relevant education in HR, payroll, finance, or a related field.
• You have at least 3 years of hands‑on payroll experience, with a strong command of Dutch payroll processes, including setting up payroll from scratch (e.g., interactions with the Belastingdienst, handling the 30% ruling, and other compliance requirements).
• You have experience with NMBRS, and experience administering pensions, insurance schemes, and other employee benefits is strongly preferred.
• Solid numerical and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; prior experience working for a payroll provider is a significant plus.
• Experience with international payroll and understanding of EU payroll or tax regulations is an advantage.
• Proven success working in an international environment and collaborating across borders.
• You have strong communication skills in English, Dutch language skills are a plus.
