    About the job

    You will be working at the Chemiepark Delfzijl at our Monochloroacetic Acid factory (MCA). In this factory chlorine gas is reacted with acetic acid to produce raw monochloroacetic acid, which is then purified in a number of steps. MCA is a key building block for producing everyday essentials. It is further processed within Nouryon, and by external customers.

    As Site Manager, you are responsible for delivering on strategy by translating business objectives into clear targets and driving performance to achieve agreed results, while continuously improving ways of working. You will manage day-to-day operations to ensure reliable, efficient delivery and strict adherence to safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements. In this role you will provide strong leadership by coaching, developing, and empowering team members to perform at their best. It actively engages and aligns key stakeholders, fostering effective collaboration and a high-performance culture across the organization.

    In your future role as Site Manager you will:

    • Plan, lead, organize & control the delivery of set targets (in terms of safety, reliability, productivity, service, cost, quality and material/eco-efficiency) and provide insights regarding developments based on analysis.
    • Respond effectively to hazards in safety, health, security and environment.
    • Be the link to the company's organization and external parties, as a representative but also to share, learn and help the organization to build effective contacts and networks.
    • Set the example by living the Nouryon values and working across Functions and Businesses to drive the Nouryon and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) strategy and specific site related operational improvements.
    • Communicate and ensure that ISC strategy is cascaded to the site organization effectively to ensure appropriate alignment on focus.
    • Engage stakeholders to maintain and oversee external relations to ensure that the company values and license to operate are sustained.
    • Manage and plan relevant (departmental) budgets.

    We believe you bring

    • A Bachelor or Master's in Chemistry, Engineering, with an additional BBA/MBA is preferred.
    • At least 5 years working experience in a similar role.
    • Fluency in English and Dutch, both verbal and in writing.
    • Solid knowledge in Operations, Supply Chain and experience in Process Safety, Asset Integrity and HSE.
    • Strong experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and relevant tools and processes
    • Profound experience in Process Management and Integrated Business Planning

    Great if you have

    • Six sigma green belt, black belt or master black belt certification

    Good to know

    This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, based in Delfzijl The Netherlands. T he team consists of seven direct reports and a total organization of around 100 people. It covers several key departments: PQC, Maintenance, Production, HSE&S, Continuous Improvement, and Projects & Turnaround.
