In order to expand our purchasing department we are looking for an

Technical operational/tactical Buyer

You will be part of the operational team responsible for planning, purchasing and logistics within the company. As a buyer, you will not only place and follow up on daily orders, but you will also have tactical purchasing tasks such as benchmarking suppliers for different purchase categories. Your main task is to ensure that all materials for the hydrogen refueling stations to be built are ordered on time.

In the afternoon you have another meeting with a supplier. They have contacted you because our product is so interesting and they want to be involved. As it is also a technical meeting, you have invited a colleague from the engineering department to join you. The meeting goes well and it seems like a potentially valuable addition to the supplier's portfolio. You share the experience with your colleagues and process all the data in our ERP system.

As an technical operational/tactical buyer

• You will be responsible for the procurement of technical materials and services

• You will alternate between operational and tactical purchasing activities

• You will request quotations, place orders, negotiate, conclude contracts and evaluate the performance of our suppliers

• You will be responsible for the operational and part of the tactical procurement process

• You will translate the internal customer demand into the supplier market and ensure a good fit

• You will negotiate with suppliers and ensure the correct recording of agreements in purchase orders or contracts

• You will identify opportunities for improvement and use these to further develop the procurement organisation

Job requirements

This is what you will bring

• HBO working and thinking level, Preferably a technical education completed with NEVI 1 and NEVI 2 and approximately 3-5 years of relevant work experience

• Work experience as a purchaser in a technical (production) environment where procurement is also project-based

• Chain thinker who can involve suppliers within his/her own supply chain

• Knowledge and experience in drafting and managing procurement agreements and demonstrable affinity with the legal aspects of contracting

• You are a good negotiator, a structural thinker, you are communicatively strong and have good analytical skills
