Over 26,000 visitors of all ages will explore our vast festival grounds, returning year after year for beloved classics, fresh fantasy treasure, and an atmosphere they'll never forget.

We're seeking exhibitors who bring unique magic to Elfia, including: Unusual of handmade goods, eye-catching, imaginative booths, immersive experiences (VR, games, performances), high-quality fantasy, steampunk, gothic, medieval, sci-fi, or mystical creations.

Build-up and breakdown days are compensated; weekend manager roles receive payment, while other volunteers work a few hours and enjoy the event.

Start Friday before the festival

As a festival driver, you will be responsible for transporting entertainers and participants throughout the event period. Duties include airport transfers on Friday and Monday, and shuttle trips between the hotel and festival grounds during the weekend. In exceptional cases, you will also be asked to drive to locations such as Amsterdam. However, these will be assigned on a rotational basis.

This honourable role places you in direct contact with VIPs, influencers, and the Elfia management team.

This position requires not only strong driving skills, but also the ability to engage, create a comfortable environment, and entertain passengers along the drive.

End Monday after the festival

You will assist during breakfast, lunch, and dinner by collecting meal vouchers and supporting catering operations to ensure smooth service. You may also be tasked with preparing and delivering packed meals to volunteers who are unable to leave their assigned posts during mealtimes.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to hygiene, and a helpful, team-oriented attitude.

Start Monday before the festival (arrival on the Sunday afternoon)

You will be present throughout the entire construction week and remain at least until the Tuesday following the festival. Your responsibilities include helping to decorate the terrain and ensuring that all decorative materials are properly dried, dismantled, and packed during the deconstruction phase.

Only during the festival weekend

You are the festival's all-round problem solver, ready to jump in wherever support is needed. Your tasks can vary from assisting other teams, clearing pathways, guarding access points, emptying trash bins, and responding to unexpected situations that arise throughout the day.

This dynamic role requires flexibility, initiative, and a hands-on attitude. Ideal for someone who enjoys being in the heart of the action, you'll need strong communication skills, situational awareness, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs on the ground.

Only during the festival weekend (Paid Position)

You will be responsible for selling official Elfia and Drach-Oc products during the festival weekend. This role requires confidence in handling finance, payments, strong customer service skills, and the ability to actively engage with visitors.

A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential. Prior experience in sales is mandatory, as you'll be representing the face of Elfia and Drach-Oc's brand to thousands of attendees. If you do not have any experience in sales, do not apply.

Start Monday before the festival (arrival on the Sunday afternoon)

Your role involves distributing and collecting materials essential to all Elfia teams, as well as maintaining accurate records and supporting basic office functions. Tasks may include sorting, laminating, cutting, list-making, and assisting with various administrative needs if needed by the management.

You act as an office runner, helping wherever needed to keep internal logistics running smoothly. Basic computer skills are required, along with some experience in graphic design (e.g. using Canva or similar tools).

This role requires excellent attention to detail, reliability, efficiency, strong collaboration skills, and a customer-friendly attitude, as you serve as a vital helping hand to the office team.

Only during the festival weekend

You will be costumed in armour and help bring the magic to life by entertaining guests and assisting with key festival moments, such as the coronation, costume parade, and more.

This is a silent, theatrical role that includes slapstick and requires physical presence, movement, and staying in character throughout your shift.

We especially welcome applications from clubs or groups with a background in sports, dance, theatre, cosplay, or re-enactment. Priority will be given to group applications from such clubs, though individual applications are still very welcome.

This role calls for confidence in costume, team spirit, and a flair for performance.

End Monday after the festival

You will be working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly for performers and entertainers. This includes guiding entertainers and acts to the correct stages (we have four), helping them prepare, and making sure all necessary equipment is transported safely and on time. In some cases, you may assist with lifting and moving gear across the festival grounds-use of the Gator vehicle is permitted during designated times upon permission.

In addition to stage support, you will help manage logistics at Giostra Fortunia, our iconic mirror tent.

This role requires good planning, clear communication, and a hands-on attitude. Be prepared to work in bursts and use some muscle when needed. People skills and flexibility are key.

You are the first point of contact for visitors entering the magical world of Elfia. Your main duties include checking entry tickets and assisting with the Elfia Visa process to ensure a smooth and welcoming arrival for all attendees.

We especially welcome applications from clubs or groups with a background in sports, dance, theatre, cosplay, or re-enactment. Priority will be given to group applications from such clubs, though individual applications are still very welcome.

You must be someone with a warm smile, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage queues efficiently without getting caught in lengthy conversations. As the face of Elfia at the entrance, your role sets the tone for the visitor experience.

You are the friendly face that answers any festival-related questions visitors may have and manage the lost and found. From giving directions to explaining the programme or helping with minor concerns, you'll be the go-to contact for guests seeking information or assistance.

This role calls for a warm, welcoming attitude and excellent communication skills. You should be able to answer questions clearly and confidently, stand and interact with visitors for extended periods, and assist with various tasks that help enhance the guest experience.

Basic knowledge of Elfia's services, programme, and terrain is a plus, but don't worry, training will be provided. Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential, as is reliability, punctuality, and a proactive mindset.

End Monday after the festival

You support the Elfia Elf both during the setup and throughout the event weekend. Your key responsibilities include monitoring and resolving on-site issues that may arise in the exhibitor areas-such as checking electrical access, ensuring merchants are using the correct tent or space according to their rental agreement, tracking late arrivals, and coordinating with the logistics team if a gator is needed to transport exhibitor items.

You will also help verify that all rented materials (tables, chairs, power connections, etc.) are correctly prepared and delivered to each exhibitor. Clear and timely communication with the Elfia Merchant Coordinator is essential in this role.

This position requires strong problem-solving skills, efficiency, and the ability to communicate clearly with the Elfia Merchant Elf and exhibitors.

Do I get compensation for Elfia?

Elfia provides food and drink for all volunteers. Volunteers with certain responsibilities in higher functions will receive compensation during the festival weekend.
