Why the Global Investment Traineeship at Robeco?

Robeco's Global Investment Traineeship program is a graduate scheme, offering top university students a unique two-year opportunity to work with investment professionals at a leading global asset manager. During this period, you will rotate between investment teams on a five-month basis. In addition, you will have regular interaction with colleagues from other disciplines, including Sales, Trading, Marketing, Risk Management, Quant and Data Science, in order to gain a solid understanding of the dynamics of an asset management company. The program includes rotations at a number of Robeco's international locations where you will have the opportunity to connect with experts and build your global network. You will have access to internal and external training, including personal and professional development and content-driven courses.

About the program

You and your co-trainees will rotate between various investment teams:

• Developed Markets Equities

• Emerging Markets Equities

• Thematic Investing

• Global Macro

• (High Yield) Credits

• Multi Asset Solutions

• Sustainable Investing Research

• Risk Management

You will be working alongside seasoned industry analysts and portfolio managers on investment cases and projects. To gain a full understanding of the dynamics of various financial markets and sustainability you will be assigned to at least one Equity team, one Fixed Income team, and one Top-Down team.

You will be primarily based in Robeco's Rotterdam headquarters. During the first year, you will spend three months in our Zürich office where you will work with our SI and Thematic Investing specialists. In the second year, you will spend two months in one of our international investment offices in London, New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong or Singapore.

We offer a range of courses during the program to help you develop your personal skills, such as presenting, negotiating and debating. You will receive Bloomberg-user training, and will be equipped to do valuations and programming courses in Python. During the second year, you will be enrolling into the CFA program.

After successful completion of the two-year traineeship, you will continue your career and join one of the investment teams as an analyst.

About you

We are looking for recent graduates who want to become part of the next generation of Robeco investment professionals. Ideally, you:

• Completed, or are about to complete, a master's or equivalent

• Graduated top of your class

• Possess great analytical skills

• Persevere and are curious by nature

• Have an affinity with finance and investing

• Are capable of communicating effectively, embracing changes and overcoming challenges

• Are open-minded, with an ability to contribute innovative and divergent ideas while displaying openness, teamwork and integrity

• Are fluent (written and spoken) in English

• Are digitally savvy
