BaseClear offers a complete range of microbial genomics services for many applications including clinical trials wherein microbiome readouts are also part of results: metagenomics, meta transcriptomics, microbiome analysis and microbial strain characterization for regulatory approval.

For our IT department, we are looking for candidates for the position of:

IT Coordinator

(32 - 40 hours per week)

What will you be doing?

Our IT team is responsible for maintaining our core IT infrastructure as well as providing tailormade software solutions for internal operations. As our IT Coordinator, you will be responsible for the operationality of the IT infrastructure. This includes:

• Coordinating maintenance and changes for cloud solutions (Microsoft 365), internal servers, networking, (data)backup and other IT related systems together with our external IT supplier.
• Communicating changes within the internal organization.
• Supporting with the implementation of new third-party (Lab)software solutions.
• Providing first-line support for IT issues and coordinating solutions with our IT supplier.
• Advising on security (ISO27001) and compliance issues.
• Ensuring ongoing business continuity by monitoring systems and providing plans for replacement where needed.
• Training of internal personnel on the use of IT solutions.

Who are you?

You have completed an IT related vocational education (MBO-4) or Bachelor, plus 5 years relevant work experience. You have worked with Microsoft 365 solutions, and have knowledge of networking and security (VPN, firewall, etc). It would be great if you have experience with project- or change management and ISO27001.

To be successful in this role, you come with certain characteristics. You are a proactive individual with a problem solving mindset. You are an excellent communicator as you will be bridging the gap between our external IT partner and internal policies and wishes. Furthermore, you are a reliable person and are comfortable working independently.

You live in close proximity to our Leiden office.
