At , we are looking for a Tax Manager. In this role, you will lead and oversee all corporate tax matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring full compliance while driving strategic tax initiatives that support our business growth

Your challenge

• Manage and lead a team of 2 specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of departmental goals.

• Collaborate closely with the broader Bridgestone tax team to ensure alignment, share expertise, and contribute to company-wide tax strategies and initiatives.

• Manage and oversee all corporate tax matters, including corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding taxes, ensuring full compliance with local and international regulations.

• Lead the preparation, review, and filing of tax returns and related documentation across multiple jurisdictions.

• Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities, external advisors, and auditors in different countries.

• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business, proactively advising management on risks and opportunities.

• Provide tax support for business operations, including new market entries, restructuring, M&A transactions, and intercompany agreements.

• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations, including documentation, policies, and coordination with global teams.

• Support tax provisioning and reporting under IFRS / local GAAP, in close collaboration with Finance and Accounting teams.

• Identify and implement tax optimization opportunities aligned with the company's growth strategy and risk appetite.

  Lead or support tax audits and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

• Develop and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation, leveraging technology and automation where possible.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and Operations teams to ensure tax considerations are embedded in business decisions.

• Ensure appropriate tax governance, risk management, and internal controls in line with group policies.

• Manage and coordinate external tax advisors and, where applicable, support or guide junior team members.

• Manage the tax budget and monitor external advisor spend, ensuring cost-effective delivery of tax services.

Who are you?

• Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Economics, or Business Administration.

• Professional tax qualification (e.g. CTA, ACCA, CPA, Register Belastingadviseur) is a strong plus.

• 5-8+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a multinational environment

• Experience in corporate income tax and indirect tax (VAT/GST) within multiple jurisdictions.

• Background in Big 4 or international tax advisory combined with in-house experience is highly desirable.

• Proven experience managing tax compliance, tax audits, and tax reporting processes.

• Hands-on experience with transfer pricing and cross-border transactions.

• Exposure to IFRS and/or local GAAP tax reporting.

Job-Related Skills:

• Strong knowledge of European tax regulations, including corporate tax, VAT, and withholding tax.

• Ability to work independently in an international environment with changing priorities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to explain complex tax matters to non-tax audiences.

• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and tax tools is a plus.

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

• High level of integrity and professional ethics.

• Resilience and stress management, particularly during peak reporting and audit periods.
