We are active in multiple markets, including Oil, Gas & Chemicals, Semiconductor, and Clean Energy & General Markets. To strengthen our market teams, we are looking for several Sales Engineers who can combine technical expertise with commercial skills and who have the ambition to grow into the role of Field Engineer.

About the position

As a Sales Engineer, you advise customers on technical issues within their processes and installations. You are the substantive interlocutor and translate customer needs into appropriate solutions. In the market team you work together with sales, engineering and customer service on customer projects and building lasting relationships.

After a period in this position, you will go through our structured training program and grow into Field Engineer, where you will provide on-site support as a technical specialist and be involved in customized developments and inspections.

Your core tasks

  • Customer visits to understand processes and technical applications.
  • Analyze systems and advise on solutions.
  • Support in preparing, explaining and presenting proposals and quotations.
  • Identify and exploit commercial opportunities within customer applications.
  • Intensive cooperation with other departments.
  • Record and follow up customer interactions in the CRM system.

Growth to Field Engineer

As a Field Engineer:

  • Delve further into product, application and system knowledge.
  • You provide technical support on location.
  • Actively collaborate on custom solutions and customer projects and perform inspections.

Completing the internal training program is part of this growth path.

Your profile

  • HBO work and thinking level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or Technical Business Administration.
  • Technically savvy, with an interest in customer contact and commerce.
  • Experience in a technical-commercial role is an advantage, but not a must.
  • Good communication skills, analytical ability and a proactive work attitude.
  • You can work independently, but interact just as easily with colleagues and customers.
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English, both oral and written.
