Location: Amstelveen or Enschede, Netherlands

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Accounting Specialist to provide financial support for one of our smaller subsidiaries. This is a standalone role, ideal for someone who thrives in an independent working environment and is comfortable managing end-to-end finance. You will work within a small, dynamic administrative team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Accounting:

• Full-cycle accounting including invoice processing, AR management, account settlements, and month/year-end closing;

• Preparation of financial statements in compliance with Dutch accounting standards;

• Coordination and response to internal and external audits.

Tax Management:

• Management of all tax matters including VAT, CIT, and other applicable taxes;

• Preparation and submission of tax filings and payments;

• Liaison with tax authorities and handling of tax inspections.

Reporting & Communication:

• Preparation of periodic financial reports for local management and international headquarters;

• Facilitation of financial communication between local offices and HQ;

• Support ad hoc financial analysis as required, including communication with Korean partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of relevant financial and accounting experience in the Netherlands;

• Proven ability to manage multiple financial tasks independently, preferably in a small or medium-sized company;

• Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP and local tax regulations;

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;

• Excellent command of English (written and spoken); proficiency in Korean is strongly preferred to support financial reporting, communication with HQ, and cross-border coordination;

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in smaller companies where a wide range of financial responsibilities are handled independently;

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working autonomously;

• Flexibility to work 2 days from one office in Amstelveen and 3 days from another office in Enschede, or vice versa, with an additional one-day work-from-home option;

• Comfort in working with Korean colleagues and stakeholders, including preparation of bilingual financial documents.
