Media Art Friesland

Media Art Friesland (MAF) brings contemporary light and media art to life in Leeuwarden and the rest of Friesland. With a focus on diversity and experimentation, we present art, culture and technology to a wide audience. Our core activity? The annual LUNA Festival, which consists of three parts:

LUNA Young Masters : A stage for emerging international talent.

LUNA Currents : Inspiring evenings and meetings for art lovers, creators and newcomers.

LUNA Nights : A dynamic three-day event full of media, light and performance art in the heart of Leeuwarden.

We also organize numerous smaller and larger projects throughout the year in Friesland and sometimes far beyond.

What does the Supervisory Board do?

The Supervisory Board (BoS) plays an important role within MAF. As a RvT member, you help keep our organization sharp, creative and sustainable. Together with the other members you supervise the policy and finances and support and advise the management. The Supervisory Board meets an average of six times a year. We also expect you to occasionally attend our activities and to communicate MAF's core values to the outside world. We find diversity very important: in our art as well as in our team. We want everyone to feel represented, regardless of age, background or experience.
