This is how you make an impact

As Senior AFAS Specialist, you are the expert for our AFAS Core-HR and payroll system, ensuring it runs smoothly, evolves with the business, and fully supports HR processes. You take ownership of complex configurations, workflows, and integrations.

You oversee and guide projects that implement new functionalities, streamline and automate HR processes, and expand system usage across our international locations (including the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, China, and Malaysia). You translate business needs into smart AFAS solutions while ensuring high-quality execution.

At the same time, you contribute to our entire HR-systems landscape, helping maintain and improve systems like Recruitee, Valamis, and Power BI. You identify opportunities to optimize processes and data quality, and help shape the roadmap for our global HR technology, supporting managers, employees, and HR teams worldwide.

You will also be given plenty of scope to develop yourself further in the AFAS software field and there is the opportunity to expand your system knowledge to other HR systems (e.g. ATS, LMS, Power BI, AI etc.).

This is what you bring to the team

  • At least 5 years of working experience in setting up and maintaining AFAS environments with a focus on HRM. Payroll knowledge is a plus.

  • A good knowledge of Profit, Insite & OutSite

  • Communicative skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • A good command of the English language

  • You pick up activities proactively

  • Problem-solving mind-set

  • Available 32 - 40 hours per week

  • Knowledge of our global HR-systems (Recruitee, Valamis, Power BI) is a plus

  • Adapting the AFAS software to changing business processes and requirements, including developing customized reports, workflows and integrations

  • Maintaining connections between AFAS and our other systems such as Power BI, foreign payroll and T&A systems

  • Support and train HR-system users

  • Collaborating closely with HR specialists and providing advice on opportunities to optimize and improve the HR systems landscape, ensuring processes are efficient and aligned with business needs

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of our HR-systems by solving problems and answering questions.

  • Providing guidance to other team members, helping them grow their AFAS expertise and ensuring high-quality support delivery
