As our Investment Manager Africa you drive Aqua-Spark's mission to transform Africa's aquaculture sector by balancing portfolio growth and new investments. You will make sure existing portfolio companies achieve optimal financial and impact results while identifying and executing new deals aligned with Aqua-Spark's strategy. You will lead due diligence, negotiates terms, and supports portfolio companies to scale sustainable aquaculture solutions, fostering regional food security and ecological resilience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and evaluate new investment opportunities aligned with Aqua-Spark's mission.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of portfolio companies (financials, team, market, impact, risk)
• Negotiate term sheets.
• Actively manage the performance of the African portfolio companies, ensuring optimal financial and impact performance.
• Support portfolio companies
• Conduct quarterly reports and monitor KPIs
• Write investment proposals and present opportunities to the investment team and investment committee
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, syndication partners and industry experts
• Support strategic decisions and help optimize operational processes for portfolio companies.
• Represent Aqua-Spark at conferences to expand the aquaculture network
• Stay updated on trends in Africa's aquaculture and financial markets

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Business/Finance or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional working experience in a position with a similar level of responsibility
• Strong understanding of the African business environment and culture
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be proficient in Apple, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); familiarity with databases; excellent IT/computer skills in general.
• Preferably understanding of the global food production and the aquaculture industry
