What will you do?

As a Financial & Business Controller, you play a key role in improving Maasoever's financial performance. Through your analyses and advice, you actively contribute to strategic decision-making and the further professionalisation of the organisation. In this versatile position, you are responsible for both financial control and business support within Maasoever. You effortlessly switch between leadership, operational tasks and strategic advisory work. You act as a sparring partner for the management team and support managers with financial and business-related questions.

As Financial Controller, you lead and coach the employees of the financial administration team. You motivate and support them in their daily activities and are responsible for ensuring an accurate and timely financial administration. In addition, you prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual reports and work closely with management on the preparation of the annual financial statements. You also monitor and improve internal controls and financial procedures and contribute to the further development of management reporting.

In your role as Business Controller, you focus primarily on managing the flow of goods (economic inventory) and optimising the related processes. Based on financial analyses, you proactively advise both management and the board of directors.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an analytically strong and flexible colleague with a proactive mindset. You have completed a bachelor's degree (HBO level) in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or a similar field, and you have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable (combined) role. You are accurate, pragmatic, communicatively strong and solution-oriented. In addition, you have extensive experience with Excel and financial systems.
